Thrifty highlight part iii

So this look I loveeeeeee. It has been a long time I have went thrifting. I was having withdraws. So I since I'm new to the Houston area I didn't really now of any good places. Thank God for my anthro co workers! They're pretty fashionable + have personal great style
& shop on a dime. So probably my favorite piece I brought is this blouse. It was $1.70! The pattern of the blouse reminds of the 90's which I'm into right now.

It is that time of the beloved year again! FALL. Its finally the excuse to wear layers and I'm super excited about that. I live for layers. Excited to wear plaid and cropped top turtle necks, yes turtle necks. Jk, this is the only turtle neck of any kind I own. I got it in the summer at a thrift shop and finally got around to wearing it with an outfit I liked. I scored these sweet high wasted pants at 50% off sale Urban Outfitters was having.Don't you find pure joy in finding amazing things for cheap? Shooooooot, I sure do :)

thrifty highlight i

So if you know me well, you know I love to hit up a goodwill or thrift shop every once in a while. I had this spot in Tulsa,OK called quality thrift. When I went to school in Oklahoma I was introduced to the art of thrifting. The idea of buying second hand clothing never really appealed to me until I got to college. Everybody at school was talking about this cool thrift shop in town so I thought I go see what all the hype was about. Since then I have been hooked. They always had the one of a piece {like most thrift shops} finds that consist of totally crazy patterns from 20 years back. I love to challenge myself to wear vintage finds and incorporate them with my modern day wardrobe.

The thrift find in this #ootd is the classic button up for your island get away. But for now it will be good enough for church today lol. It's loud + vibrant + tropical = my imaginary vacation outfitt

the simple life

I love it when I think of outfits on a whim. I haven't really had the chance to wear this striped shirt I DIY'd earlier this summer. I wanted to wear it in a really creative way because I'm still not content with the state it is in right now {its still kinda over sized and boxy} so I layered it with a dress. Until I can think of something else to do with it, I'll just rock it. So I cut the original collar off to give it a wider neckline that isn't so constricting then cut the sleeves down a tad & tied on the good ole hair tie at the corner to bring it together.

Masculine chic

This outfit is inspired by men's clothing. I'm wearing a basic graphic t-shirt with boyfriend jeans.  I decided to roll up the sleeves to emphasize the masculine look. But to girl it up, I added floral wedges + statement jewelry pieces + sunglasses & the faithful red lip!

Lazy day

So I've been on a little blogging hiatus, but I'm glad to be back on! Life has been pretty busy since school ended. But it has settled down and I'm glad to share my outfits with you!

This outfit I wore to church. I like to call it the lazy day outfit because I really didn't put much effort into it honestly. I'm really into flowy/lose pants trend. As well wanted to show the versatility of this outfit by pairing a different shoe  Doesn't it look like I have pajama pants on?  Lolz. But isn't the whole point of a lazy outfit to be lose and comfy?! Well I guess to me it is :)

boyfriend tee // part I

Hey there!
I hope your week is going well. Mine has been pretty hectic since the school year is coming to a close end. Being full time college student doesn't make it any easier. But that doesn't give me an excuse to neglect posting right?!

I decided to do something different. I have a black boyfriend tee that is super versatile. It obviously has a masculine look with the high neckline and boxy sleeves but, it can be feminized with little touches here and there.  It helps that it's black too.  I would even go as far to say the male inspired style kind of influences my style. Being a tom-boy every once in a while is nice with a feminine twist is fun.

Sporty casual

Can you believe it is already March?! I can't. Since it's becoming a tad warmer I've been attracted back to my bright colors. So lately I've been really attracted to incorporating cool kicks into my outfits. I love sneakers because they're eye catching, comfortable, and versatile. I mean you can dress them up,  dress them down, or just wear them. With the outfit I am wearing, I wanted the sneakers to be the focal point. So I wore more earthy tones and subtle colors. So I challenge you to wear a pair of your sneakers/ sporty shoes with a casual outfit and try to make them the focal point. They can be your Nike free runs, Jordans, Air forces, Addias, Converse All-stars, Reebok's, Vans, Nike Air Max, Nike Roshe, New balance's or whatever pair I haven't mentioned.
Honestly, I'm just a wanna be sneaker head.
